Q1. How do these compare to the Portapro? Is sound quality as good or close? I've used the koss clip on. I liked the sound but the clips always came off.

A1. Sound quality is absolutely fantastic like the Portapro but not as ultra-crisp and clear. There is more bass with the Sportapro however and this can be a good thing for many people. One other better thing is the fact that the Sportapro does not leak anywhere near the sound as the Portapro does. The Portapro can annoy people nearby, so be warned. Also, the Sportapro can reach a higher volume at the same input volume than the Portapro. I believe the drivers are not exactly the same; the driver coating is a different material. The Sportapro will not fall off and is very pleasant on the ears and head for hours at a time. Typically cheaper, too.

Q2. Do they stay on your head when running or doing housework?

A2. Yeah they are pretty good that way. But....I only got a few months out of this pair too cuz I wear them at the gym all the time and the wires inside the jack work loose from use and abuse. I'm gona fix them myself instead of risking them in the mail for a repair. Since this happened I bought a cheap (13$) pair of "auvio" behind the neck earphones from radio shack and paid the extra 3$ for 1 yr warranty. They sound good and since I know I will only get a few months out of them I can take them back and get a new pair. Of course I only got a couple months out of them before the wires inside the jack came loose lol. It just doesnt pay for me to get good quality phones for the gym as they get beat up a lot. Ummm, Harold, what guy does housework?

Q3. Is the cord made out of rubber or nylon?

A3. Not sure the material. It is not like iPhone earbuds. A little stiffer. Don't think it's nylon. Some kind of plastic. Pretty pliable.

Q5. Does this leak sound? I would be wearing them at work desk and don't want to disturb others.

A5. Yes, they do leak some sound. They're good headphones, but I wouldn't recommend them if you like to listen to loud music or work in a very quiet environment.

Q6. How well do the foam ear cushions cope with sweat? The ones on my Bose headphones are all messed up :-(

A6. They're foam... essentially a loose sponge, so they'll soak up some sweat. But they come off easily to be pressed dry, for easy replacement.Any foam cushions will absorb sweat, but vinyl covered ones get all slick and icky in their own way.

Q7. What are the dimensions of the carrying case?

A7. The "case" is a black vinyl pouch, 4 1/2" X 5 1/2" with a drawstring and 'KOSS' embossed in front. There is no padding but works well for storage and packing. The phones fold up into a neat little package.

Q8. How do you collapse these to fit into the case? I'm not able to get them in, even after bending in the earpieces.

A8. Make sure the headband is at its shortest length, then bend the earpieces in.
