3. Installation and Mounting

Follow these steps to install and mount your LU43PB speakers:

1. Choose a suitable location for your speakers, ensuring they are not exposed to direct sunlight, extreme heat, or moisture.
2. Using the included swivel mounting brackets, attach the brackets to the back of the speakers using the provided screws.
3. Position the speakers at the desired location and mark the screw holes for the brackets on the mounting surface.
4. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations and secure the brackets to the mounting surface using appropriate screws and wall anchors (not included).
5. Adjust the swivel brackets for the desired angle and tighten the screws to secure the speakers in place.

Q: Can anyone recommend a good amp to power 4 of these speakers?
A: The sensitivity on these speakers is only 85.5 dB and they are 100 watts. You definitely need an amp with some power to push 4 of them. If you use these as stereo speakers, we recommend a Sherwood RX5502 or look for an older Pioneer VSX series made in the 90's or any Pioneer SX series amps on EBay. SX may cost more but VSX is great stuff. Not the new VSX crap. Get the old stuff because they have bigger transformers and power supplies and they are true solid-state amps. No digital gizmos to screw up the sound. The VSX is a surround sound amp BUT they have stereo connections for 4 separate speakers and you can A/B them. The EQ on those amps is pretty good as well.

Q: Is it possible to use with my laptop? I didn't see any 3.5 mm connector. What do I have to do?
A: Is your 3.5 mm connector stereo? Even if it is, we're guessing there are inexpensive adapters (probably at Radio Shack) that will convert a 3.5 mm plug to either 2 wire (mono) or 4 wire (stereo). Pay attention to wire polarities (+ & -) as traditional 2 wire speaker connections are + & -, even if the wires are connected backward, the speakers will still work-- result you will be driving them backward & they will not sound as clear. Solution, just reverse the wires. Good luck.

Q: Will these survive being pressure-washed (assuming the mounting bracket is strong enough)?
A: We don't recommend pressure washing these or any other speakers.

Q: If I want to mount them on my bedroom ceiling how would I power them?
A: Stereo speakers don't need a power supply. You simply connect them to your stereo system/receiver via speaker wires.

Q: Are the speakers Bluetooth?
A: Not unless you buy the Bluetooth amp for them, that's the only way they are Bluetooth. Or get a Bluetooth receiver to hook them to.

Q: Does it have an aux port?
A: No, just speaker wire red and black receptacles.

Q: How do these speakers work?
A: These speakers pair well with the Fosi audio amp-02 amplifier and my Crosley turntable. Excellent sound and clarity.
