Getting Started

1. Charge the speaker using the included USB-C cable. The LED indicator will turn red while charging and turn off when fully charged.

2. Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn on the speaker. The LED indicator will flash blue while in pairing mode.

3. Enable Bluetooth on your device and search for available devices. Select "Soundcore Boost" from the list to connect.

4. Once connected, the LED indicator will turn solid blue.

5. For Android devices, you can also connect via NFC by tapping your device on the NFC logo on the speaker.

Basic Operations

• Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button.
• Volume Control: Press the Volume Up or Volume Down buttons.
• Track Control: Press the Play/Pause button twice to skip forward, three times to skip backward (only available in the newest version).
• BassUp: Press the BassUp button to enhance the bass of the speaker.
• Phone Calls: Press the Play/Pause button to answer or end a call.
• Charging External Devices: Connect your device to the USB-A port using a compatible charging cable.

Wireless Stereo Pairing

Connect two Soundcore Boost speakers for stereo sound (only available in the newest version).

1. Turn on both speakers and ensure they are connected to the same device.
2. Press the Bluetooth/NFC button on both speakers simultaneously for 3 seconds until they beep and the LED indicators flash white.
3. The speakers will automatically connect to each other. Once connected, the LED indicators will turn solid white.

Q: Can I use the USB port to play music?

A: There are 2 USB ports: the smaller port is an input for charging the battery in the speaker. The other port is for charging an external device such as a smartphone. In between the 2 ports is a 3mm auxiliary input for connecting the speaker with a cable directly to your smartphone, MP3 player, or portable CD player. It is unlikely that either USB port can be used as a way to input music into the speaker.

Q: Can you change tracks from the speaker's buttons?

A: In the newest version with the USB-C and TWS button (shipping as of November 2020), you can push the play button 3 times to go back to the prior track.

Q: Is the Soundcore Boost better than the 20W Premium Anker speaker? Is it louder?

A: Yes, the Soundcore Boost is better in terms of features (dust and water resistance, charge out port, etc.) and has better bass with the BassUp feature activated. It is also louder than the 20W Premium Anker speaker.

Q: For use by the pool, should I go with the Soundcore Boost or Sport XL?

A: The Sport XL works great by the pool and is water-resistant. The Soundcore Boost is also a good choice with its IPX7 water resistance rating.

Q: Can the speaker stay on while charging, or does it automatically shut off after a few hours?

Q: Can I leave the charging cord plugged in all the time for indoor use?

A: This is a common behavior for rechargeable batteries. The charging indication may be due to voltage drop across the diode not being enough to conduct significant forward current to keep charging the battery. This is not an issue with the product.
