3. Installation

1. Attach the mirror dash cam to your existing rearview mirror using the provided rubber straps.
2. Connect the GPS antenna to the mirror dash cam and place it on the dashboard or windshield.
3. Install the backup camera on the rear of your vehicle using the provided screws and 3M tape. Make sure the camera lens is clean and unobstructed.
4. Connect the rear camera to the mirror dash cam using the provided 20 feet cable.
5. Insert the 32GB TF card into the mirror dash cam.
6. Connect the car charger to the mirror dash cam and plug it into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.

If your car has its own reversing assist system, please ignore the reversing line of G840S. The reversing system of the mirror dash cam can only be used as an aid. Unlike the usual reverse assist system that displays a 72-degree view, the mirror recorder can display a 180-degree view, so the rear image will be larger. If you mind, please buy with caution.

The G840S saves both front and rear videos. If you want to view previously recorded videos, just click the playback icon on the home screen to enter the playback interface. In the lower-left corner of the video viewing interface, there is a [car-shaped icon]. Click this icon to switch the video interface of the front and rear cameras.

12. How can I flip/mirror the rear camera image?
If you want to install the rear camera more conveniently on pickups, SUVs, or even on the top roof, please adjust the "Upside Down of Rear Camera" and "Rear Cam Mirror Image" menu to adjust the rear image vertically or horizontally.

13. What should I do if my rear camera is not detected?
Before installation, please turn on the power to see if the front and rear cameras are working. If the rear camera cannot be detected, please check the AV connector and 4 pin connector first (4 pin connector may be loose, you can tighten it and reconnect it) and reconnect the AV connector to check whether the rearview camera can be detected.
