Getting Started

1. Download the BroadLink app from the App Store or Google Play (compatible with iOS 8.0 / Android 4.0 and above).
2. Connect your smartphone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
3. Power on the RM4 pro device and check the LED indicator. When the LED indicator flashes in blue and pauses for one second every four flashes, the device is in AP setup mode. When the LED indicator flashes five times per second in blue, the device is in smart setup mode. Press and hold the reset button at the back of the device for five seconds to reset it if needed.
4. Use the mounting board to fix the device, and hang it anywhere you want.

Adding the Device in BroadLink App

1. Open the BroadLink app and tap the + icon to add a device.
2. Allow location permission when prompted.
3. Select "Add New Device" and choose "Universal Remote."
4. Select RM4 pro and tap "Next."
5. Wait for three seconds, and the app will guide you to connect to the device's AP. Once your smartphone is connected to the device AP, tap "Setup Completed."
6. Select your home Wi-Fi network and input your password to proceed. Wait for up to 60 seconds to finish the setup.
7. Choose a room for the device and name it to complete the setup.

Connecting the HTS2 Sensor Cable

1. Connect the HTS2 sensor cable between the RM4 pro and the USB adapter.
2. The temperature and humidity data will be displayed in the BroadLink app.
3. Set triggers, such as turning on your air conditioner automatically when the temperature rises.

Voice Control with Alexa and Google Assistant

1. Make sure the devices can be remotely controlled from external networks.
2. In Amazon Alexa or Google Home app, enable the skill/service named BroadLink, link your account, and discover devices.
3. Use voice commands to control your IR devices, such as turning on/off the TV or adjusting the temperature of the air conditioner.

Creating Scenes and Timers

1. In the BroadLink app, create multiple timers, scenes, and routines for your home IR and RF controlled appliances.
2. Customize different scenes, such as sleep scene, morning scene, and away scene.
3. Set a timer to never miss your favorite game or TV show with TV turn-on scheduling.
4. Set your air conditioner schedule to enjoy a temperature-controlled environment and a good night's sleep.

Sharing Control with Family

1. Families can share the remote with each other via the invite and join function in the app.
2. Enjoy the convenience of controlling your smart home devices together.

Troubleshooting Tips

• Make sure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network before adding the device (5GHz is not supported).
• The Wi-Fi password should not contain more than 32 characters and no special characters that are not available on a standard keyboard layout.
• If you have difficulties adding the device in smart configuration mode, refer to the manual for AP configuration instructions.
• RM4 pro IR only supports 433MHz fixed code remote and code learning, not 315MHz or rolling code.
