FAQ [continued]
Product FAQ:
Q: Do these headphones have the obnoxious button press beep tone
like other previous models? And if so, can the beep tone be
disabled?
A: The beeps are much lower, and the "disconnected from Bluetooth"
beep no longer continues beeping forever, it's just one small beep
and that's it. Also, the app lets you now disconnect devices from
your phone which is nice.
Q: I’m concerned about gym workouts. Will the band be a nuisance
when I’m laying on the flat or incline bench?
A: When you are laying on your back with the headphones behind your
head, the headphones can be annoying. What some people do is move
the headphones to the front so they wrap under your neck and the
"speaker part" attaches near your ears (like when they are used
normally). This is only a temporary solution mainly for when you
lay on your back.
Q: Can people around you hear what you’re listening to?
A: At 50% volume or less, no. At 75%, they can probably hear it if
they are within 5 feet of you but will not be able to make out what
is playing. At 100%, there is a good chance anyone within 5 feet
can hear it and tell what you are listening to.
Q: Does it have auto sleep? Meaning the device automatically turns
off after a long period of inactivity
A: No.
Q: Is this work for kids who have microtia?
A: These bone conduction Bluetooth headphones may work fine for
kids with microtia as they do not go into the ear canal. However,
we recommend consulting with a doctor before using any product for
medical conditions.
Q: Are these touchless? Can you answer with voice and without
hitting buttons?
A: No, but it only takes one touch on the side to answer calls or
play/pause music.
Q: Could these be worn underneath a ski/snowboard helmet that
covers your ears and back of head?
A: Yes, they can be worn under a helmet. However, if the volume is
turned up too high, there may be some buzzing if the helmet ear
flaps are touching the headphones.
Q: Do they work with severe hearing loss? I cannot hear anything
without my hearing aids.
A: These headphones do not go into the ear canal, so they may work
for people with hearing loss. However, we recommend consulting with
a doctor before using any product for medical conditions.
Q: It says it has a 3.5mm audio jack. Does that mean I can plug it
into my walkie-talkie?
A: There is no audio jack. This is a Bluetooth headphone only.
Overall, the Shokz OpenRun Pro headphones feature a comfortable
open-ear design, enhanced bass with deep depth, dual
noise-canceling microphones, and an IP55 water-resistant rating.
They also offer a secure fit and 10 hours of battery life with
quick charging capabilities. However, they do not have touchless
controls or auto sleep mode, and people around you may be able to
hear what you're listening to at higher volumes.
