2. Installation

Follow the provided installation guide to install the lock on your door. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver, an optional flathead screwdriver, a ruler, a pair of needle-nose pliers, and an optional drill with a 1/2-inch drill bit.

3. Setting up the Lock

1. Download the Lockly App on your smartphone.
2. Register an account and log in.
3. Follow the app instructions to pair your lock with your smartphone.
4. Set up your fingerprint, PIN, and RFID card for unlocking.

4. Using the Lock

There are multiple ways to unlock the Lockly Secure Plus:

• RFID card
• 3D biometric fingerprint
• PIN Genie digital keypad
• Smartphone app
• Physical key

To lock the door, simply close it and the auto-lock feature will engage after a customizable time duration.

What is the difference between the 628FC and the 628F?

The 628FC is a new version of Lockly Secure Plus with added RFID card functionality, which is great for elderly users, young children, or staff members who don't have smartphones.

How close does the RFID card need to be to unlock the door?

The RFID card should be within half an inch of the keypad to unlock the door.

Will the lock screen and fingerprint area be safe from direct sunlight?

Yes, it is safe to install your Lockly device in direct sunlight. However, if the lock is in constant direct sunlight and heat, sun visors are available to protect the lock in either Satin Nickel or Matte Black.

Is it normal to hear a grinding/clicking sound when the latch is opened?

Yes, this is a standard sound for the lock mechanism.

Will I need a subscription?

No, there are no subscription fees for using the Lockly Secure Plus.

Q: Does this lock connect to a wifi router? If not, how does it track as soon as your family members are home and send push notifications?
A: The lock does not currently connect to wifi, but it can with our WiFi Hub, which will be released in January 2019. Using eKeys, family members and trusted users can unlock the door using their iOS or Android app, and when they do so, the record is saved on the app for you to review anytime.

Q: How far does the Bluetooth reach? I want to be able to open the door with the app from about 30ft away.
A: Using the basic and plus versions of the lock, the standard Bluetooth range is 10-15ft. If you want to control the lock from anywhere and anytime using the application, we recommend purchasing the Pro version, which includes the WiFi Hub that allows remote control over the lock and real-time notification of door access. Plus, you will save money compared to purchasing the Lockly Secure Plus and the WiFi Hub separately.

Q: Can this lock be bumped or picked?
A: We regularly innovate and update our property cloud technology services (the heart of Lockly smart locks) which run on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to protect against picking, bumping, hacking, and other common forms of lock break-ins. We are proud to be one of the most secure and advanced smart locks on the planet.

Q: Please convert 1 3/8" to centimeters.
A: 1 3/8" is 3.4925cm.

Q: Can this device be keyed on both sides? If not, do you offer a device with back-to-back locks?
A: This device is only keyed on the outside, and the inside is a thumb turn only. We do not offer a device with back-to-back locks.

Q: Do I have to drill a hole in my door?
A: Our locks do not require you to drill any holes in your door.

Q: Can you connect the lock to Airbnb to generate codes for guests?
A: Currently, our lock is not integrated with the Airbnb app. You will have to manually send the codes to your guests after creating them from our app.

Q: Can this be used on a double bore door?
A: This model will not work on double doors. We have an upcoming model called Lockly Guard that will work on double doors. Please sign up for our newsletter at Lockly.com for future updates on Lockly Guard and when it will release.

Q: How do you install the lock?
A: You install it like any lock set. Then, download the app and follow the programming instructions. You will need to order the Alexa door sensor if you want to control it with Alexa, which lets you know if the door is open or closed.

Q: Is the WiFi router still scheduled for release in April 2019?
A: The Secure Link WiFi Hub is available for pre-order now, and we have already begun shipping units.
