FAQ:
Q1. What is better for recording and mixing guitar, vocals (for metal). And mixing them. AKG 240 or Audio-Technica ATH-M50? Why?
A1. I can't comment on the ATH-M50, as I haven't used one yet. The AKG 240, however, is a very good set, but I wouldn't use headphones to mix final masters. Especially not when you have to listen to screaming guitars. For tracking vocals, you should be careful as a sensitive mic would "listen" to the headphones too. Not always welcome when recording soft passages.

Q2. Is this an original brand? or It is made in China?
A2. The inside sticker on a pair of these purchased in 2020 shows that it is "Made in China". The production country doesn't always indicate the quality as many name-brands have been outsourced to China.

Q3. How LONG in feet is the detachable cord?
A3. The detachable cord is 9-10 feet long.

Q4. Where could you find a shorter cord? I'd prefer one say only 3 foot long for using with my phone on walks and such.

Q5. I have a very large head. Does anyone with a big head have these? How do they fit? Superlux headphones were too small for me.
A5. Someone with a giant head said that these headphones fit perfectly.

A6. These headphones do not have a microphone or any other controls, but they can be plugged into the headphone jack of an amp for perfect fidelity.

Q7. I have another model of AKG headphones. I like the sound, but they are too small and give me a headache after an hour. Do these fit large heads?
A7. Yes, these headphones fit larger heads better than some other models.

Q8. Is this good for an everyday commuting set of headphones? I listen to rock a lot. Also, is this product on promotion?
A8. These headphones are not recommended for everyday commuting and are better suited for professional applications such as mixing, mastering, and playback. As for promotions, it's hard to tell.

Q9. How durable is the pleather on the ear pads? From my experience pleather seems to always fall apart sooner rather than later.
A9. The pleather pads that come with these headphones are not very durable, but they can be replaced with velour pads that are more comfortable and easy to install.
