As an AI language model, I do not have personal preferences or opinions, but based on user reviews, the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are a top-of-the-line option for those who prioritize sound quality and noise cancellation. They offer an immersive listening experience and crystal-clear voice pickup during calls. However, the high price tag and reported connectivity issues with certain devices may be a drawback for some users.

FAQ

Q: Will it be possible to get these without Alexa?
A: You can decide not to enable Alexa when you get the headset! This isn't something that comes enabled when you receive the headphones.

Q: Are these going to be better than the QC35?
A: I found these to sound better. It may be because the Noise Reduction is slightly better. I have the QC35's and the Sony wh-1000xm3's. I find the Bose 700's to be superior to both even if you consider the sound quality of these to be equal due to the other features. The multipoint Bluetooth makes them more attractive than the Sony's. The pass-through is simply amazing. With the headphones on, it sounds as if you're not wearing headphones. I no longer use any other headphones. If it's not raining, I'll even take them outside because I can hear safely. I just received the Echo Buds and love them. They are my backup when it's raining (I live in Seattle).

Q: Can these connect to a PC at call center? to be used with VoIP?
A: It will work, but probably not well. They have a problem that keeps them from working reliably on Zoom, Teams, or other video conferencing software when connected to Windows PCs or Macs. There is supposed to be a firmware update to fix this, but the first one that came out (1.4) caused worse problems, so they recalled it, and they have only promised a new version (1.5) but I haven't been able to actually find it anywhere as of Sept 13, 2020. Bose support is worse than useless. I'm giving up and returning them.

Q: Is it as easy to switch between devices as the QC 35?
A: You do not need to switch. I think people are trying to use these like the 35 headphones. Which is why they are getting frustrated. Unlike those, you are not forced to switch between devices. It will automatically remember the last 8 devices you paired with. And if the device you want to pair with is set up to connect with it, it will do so automatically. It even will stay connected with two devices at the same time. These are much “smarter” technology than the 35.

Q: Would these work well for canceling out the sound of a lawnmower?
A: Cancelling the sound of a neighbor mowing their lawn, yes. If you want to wear them while mowing your own lawn, they probably would help, but they won't provide hearing protection.

Q: I sweat a lot in the gym, does that harm the headphone?
A: I used these while on the treadmill for a couple of years, eventually the ear pads just fell apart. They are great headphones, nonetheless.

Q: Many people are concerned about connection failure; is this gonna be fixed in the next Software update that can be done after sale or what?
A: Hello, we are aware that some of our users are facing issues with connecting their Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. These concerns have been forwarded to our engineering team and they have identified the cause and are working as quickly as possible to improve it., however we would recommend observing our Bose Community Forum where we are posting updates regarding this, you will also find some handy troubleshooting.

Q: I don't need or want Alexa or Google Assistant. I just want the headphones. How?
A: I don't use either one myself. You do need to download the app to initialize them. After that, just turn them on and off just like any other Bluetooth device.

Q: Do they fold?
A: They do not fold-up like the QC35-IIs do no.

Q: Which specific features will be unavailable if I choose not to create a Bose Account?
A: Hi there, Thanks for your question. Without creating a Bose Music account, you won't be able to set any other Noise Cancelling levels other than the preset 0,5 and 10. You also won't be able to configure a Voice Assistant as well as be able to use the Bose AR feature. Kind Regards, Hector B - Bose Customer Support
