I tinker on antique cars, and my daily driver is a 500+ horsepower Dodge Charger. My wife, being far more practical, drove a Lexus. After 12 years of solid service, she decided she wanted an EV. She wanted a Tesla, but I kept trying to steer her to a non-Tesla competitor. Well, she won. I am fascinated by the technology and it serves as a carbon offset for my four V-8 powered hotrods, muscle cars and antique trucks. I knew about her desire for an EV, so when I remodeled my garage a year ago, I put in a subpanel and ran a 240 line over and blanked it out on a wall. So, when this came, installation was accomplished in 20 minutes. I followed the instructions about connecting everything to WiFi and 20-30 minutes later, it was connected to the home WiFi, connected to the car, and to the Tesla app. I love the functionality of this over a generic brand charger. You can adapt them to a Tesla, but by having the Tesla charger, the app allows you to set maximum charging levels, start times (to lower demand/lower cost times). All in all, I am quite happy, and my wife is quite happy...

I was worried that it would not be an actual Tesla Wall Connector. Not to worry. Arrived next day in the same factory Tesla box as my other one. What I like is that Tesla thought of everything for the installation. The build quality is perfect and it's a complete solution. (Minus the wiring to the electrical panel) Amazon shipment was prompt and arrived without any damage. If you have a Tesla, I would match the car with the wall connector instead of purchasing a 3rd party device. It integrates perfectly with the Tesla app that you need anyway for the car and it provides the charging stats so you know how much and when it's charging. Just a nice integrated unit that looks nice. Would buy again.
