These would be a five-star product if they had released with the software complete and sensical. Instead, it's kind of messy, and the best feature, being able to link curtains to make a bigger display, is a big disappointment. Your choices for presets go from several dozen for a single curtain to a dozen that aren't even the same ones. All of the single curtain presets for single curtains should be there for linked curtains. When linking curtains, you get locked out of the customer creation part completely. Also, it is too hard to find and apply creations by other people, and there's a big section that "doesn't apply." I contacted Govee because I figured I was just confused by the app setup, and I wasn't, the software just wasn't complete, and still isn't.

Stop thinking, just buy them! The customizability is incredible. Tons of pre-made animations and tons of options for creating your own animations and effects. They go from very dim to very bright so whether you're relaxing or putting on a light show or gaming, or falling asleep to them on a sleep timer to an awesome relaxing effect that you created, they are always just right. What super cool is you can connect up to three of them for bigger animations and effects. I can't wait to get another! I hung mine in front of my giant apartment window and they do not take away from seeing out the window during the day and they are just an amazing and relaxing and super cool art piece to have going in the late afternoon and evening. These curtain lights amplified my comfy space 10 fold. One of my favorite features is the sound-activated effects. It's extremely fast and extremely responsive to external noise like music. The louder and more complex the music gets the brighter and more complex the animations get and the animations happen exactly on the beat, no lag whatsoever. These are just super super cool lights and I highly recommend for anybody who's into creating a cozy comfy space that they love to call their own.

I had these in front of a tapestry because I had absolutely no room anyplace by themselves. When I changed it to my Halloween tapestry I put it in front of the lights. With the finger draw mode I was able to do something completely different and useful! Now I can't wait to put this in front of my Christmas tapestry next season.

The media could not be loaded. First of all, I've had these since release and I still can't get over how bright they are. I oftentimes keep them at 1% and find that bright enough; any brighter and I feel like I'm providing lighting for my whole city. They do a great job of lighting up my balcony though so I love that. I also have the TV backlights and one thing to take into consideration is the location that you will be putting these in relation to the TV lights if you have them because on brighter settings, they will pick up the curtain ones even at quite a distance. I have the curtain lights to the side of my tv and anything brighter than 1% is visible on the side
