2. Installation

1. Choose the desired location for your ceiling speakers, ensuring that there is enough space for the cutout dimensions (8.07 inches / 20.5 cm in diameter and 4.92 inches / 12.5 cm in depth).
2. Using a pencil, mark the center of the speaker location on the ceiling.
3. Use a compass or a template to draw a circle with the cutout diameter (8.07 inches / 20.5 cm) on the ceiling.
4. Carefully cut out the hole using a drywall saw or a hole saw.
5. Run the speaker wires from your Bluetooth amplifier to the speaker location.
6. Strip the ends of the speaker wires and connect them to the speaker terminals on the back of the Herdio HCS818 speaker. Make sure to match the polarity (+ to + and - to -).
7. Insert the speaker into the hole and tighten the screws until the speaker is securely fastened to the ceiling. The clamps will automatically pivot and secure the speaker in place.
8. Attach the round stain-resistant speaker grill to the speaker.

Terrible customer service as the product is manufactured in China and the only support is via email. Terrible response time and can't get answers to my questions.

At 320 watts, these speakers are made to handle a little bit of power. The flush mount design is sleek and the screws are hidden behind the mesh screen for a nice clean look.

8. Herdio customer support don't even know their own product..?
The included instruction manual made no reference to the two blue sliding switches on the speakers. When asked about them, Herdio customer service said they were only decorative and served no practical use. This was not true, as the switches are active and wired directly to the circuit board.
