Q: Do you make 12v car charger for it?
A: Currently, we only offer a single-unit charger with an AC wall adapter or a 6-way multi-charger for the SAMCOM FPCN30A radio. We do not offer a USB car charger at this time. The single charge input is DC 12V, Output: DC 8.4V. However, we will forward your requirement to our related department and see if we can sell a car charger for the radio in the future.

Q: Are these pre-programmed or do they need to be programmed?
A: According to the dealer Sancom/Samcom, they are preprogrammed with the Sancom/Samcom channels used in their wireless intercom systems. From other users and reviewers, I have learned that these are in the FRS channels (462 and 467 MHz). From the FCC, I have learned that these radios are Part 90 approved business radios. They cannot be used legally to transmit on the FRS channels as that requires specific FCC approval (and a fixed antenna). If you intend to use these radios for business purposes, you must have an appropriate business license for specific frequency(ies) that this radio can transmit. If you get caught using them illegally, it can result in hefty fines.

Q: Cuanto cuesta solo 1 radio?
A: We suggest buying at least two radios since one cannot communicate alone. The price for one radio is $79 USD.

Q: Are these ready out of the box with the scrambler voice feature for security or does that need to be downloaded?
A: These walkie-talkies have a built-in SCR function and do not need to be downloaded again. Only when the same scrambling is turned on can the machines communicate with each other. If the scrambling frequency is different, the camera can receive the signal but cannot hear what is being said.

Q: I just received these today. Can these transmit to other walkie-talkies?

Q: What is the range nominal outside flat terrain?
A: The communication range quoted is calculated based on an unobstructed line of sight test under optimum conditions. Up to 5 miles in the open area, 1-2 miles in construction area. Actual range will vary depending on terrain and conditions, and is often less than the maximum possible. Your actual range will be limited by several factors including, but not limited to: terrain, weather conditions, electromagnetic interference, and obstructions.

Q: I don't see if these can be used for biking or hiking and why do you need a license? If they are used in a factory or like I can see.
A: These SAMCOM FPCN30A walkie-talkies are suitable for biking and hiking. Due to the FCC requirement, above 2 Watts radio require an FCC license.

Q: What is the difference between SAMCOM FPCN30A and FPCN30AA?
A: There is no difference between SAMCOM FPCN30A and FPCN30AA. FPCN30A is the model number, while 2AIOQ-FPCN30AA is the FCC ID.

Q: Can I program with a Mac?
A: Unfortunately, we do not have software for programming with a Mac at this time.
