A: No, you must press the buttons for it to work. It does not work automatically.

A: To successfully pair the receiver with the remote, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the receiver/collar is turned off by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button until it beeps and the indicator light flashes red.
2. Turn on the remote control by turning the knob in the upper left corner clockwise.
3. Press and hold the on/off button on the collar until the indicator light flashes green "quickly".
4. Press and hold the "Channel Button" (the one with the numbers 1, 2, 9) on the remote. When it is paired, the receiver/collar will vibrate and resume flashing at normal speed.
5. Once connected, press the beep or vibrate button, and the collar will receive corresponding commands to act.
